SEA meets every Tuesday during activities period to discuss green issues within and beyond the Hunter community. Next Tuesday (3/2), we will be creating signs to promote environmentally conscientious behavior in classrooms. In the coming weeks, we will be organizing a school-wide park cleanup, planning a panel discussion on environmental issues, and instituting a revamped recycling program at HCCS. ALL grades are welcome to join us on Tuesdays, room 302. Hope to see you there!
Feel free to contact Gillie Collins at gillibuster@gmail.com or Ms. Reisig greisig@hccs.hunter.cuny.edu if you have any questions.

Cafeteria Waste-Reduction Campaign
Where/When: The cafeteria, starting February 8th
For the next few weeks, if you bring lunch, please bring in a waste-free lunch. A waste-free lunch simply means that the lunch is packed in a reusable bag or lunchbox, that the food is packed as much as possible in reusable containers instead of disposable ones, and that food in individual packages is avoided as much as possible. We are trying to see how much Hunter can reduce its cafeteria waste during this period. For more information, go to www.wastefreelunches.org.

Peer Leadership
When you get mountains of homework each night do you ever wish you could make your teachers see the hours of sports, musical or theater practice you do? The time you spend at a job or doing community service? Your long, long commute to and from school? Well, now you can! In an attempt to further the campaign for a "stress-free day", Peer Leadership is making a movie about what it truly means to be a Hunter student, and would love interested students to contact Isabella Mckinley at the email address below. If you think your busy schedule is worth recognition, or even if you just want to give us a copy of a full page in your planner, send an email, and we'll be in touch.
